With my background in preparing/editing procedural documents, I am happy to offer my editing skills in several ways:
Newsletter: If you are sending a newsletter to a graphic artist, have me edit the newsletter content ahead of time, reviewing for format inconsistencies and typos. This allows a more efficient use of the graphic artist’s time in placing the content.
Book: When you’re writing a book or paper, I can edit it for format inconsistencies and typos as well as give “fresh eye” comments on anything that doesn’t make complete sense to me on a first reading. (see Testimonial from author Mariam Stephens).
Procedurals: All businesses have procedures for opening/closing and the myriad of duties each employee performs. To have a procedural manual with this information – written in the way clearest to everyone – is not only invaluable to the employees but clears the head of the employer. It can be difficult to be the “only one who knows the business”!
Consistency: One client nicknamed me The Consistency Fairy once she’d observed my streamlining several procedures.
